The Imagined Figure

In this two day workshop, you will create a clay figure, cartoon or maquette from imagination. Working from photos and anatomy reference you will create a small scale figure ‘torso’ or maquette. Students are encouraged to bring their own ideas for poses. This workshop will enhance your knowledge of human anatomy as well as your understanding of clay construction. Post production instruction and guidance will be provided for artists to complete their sculptural works independently. Previous experience in working with the figure is recommended but all levels of ability are welcome.

I will provide tools for your use during the class.  You are welcome to bring your own tools if you have them (please be sure they are clearly marked)!
